Recent School Bus Accidents

Wednesday:

27 students with minor injuries were taken to Kootenai Medical Center after a truck rear-ended a Lakeland School Dristrict bus at the intersection of state highway 53 and 41.

A car ran into the back end of a Coeur d’Alene School District special education bus at the intersection of 16th and Montana streets. The two preschool children that were on board the bus were not injured.

Dec. 14, 1994:

Emergency workers took five children with minor injuries to the hospital after a van skidded head on into a Lakeland School bus north of Twin Lakes on Twin Lakes Road. The bus suffered $8,000 to $9,000 in danage.

Dec. 12, 1994:

A logging truck traveling on an icy road careened into a loaded Lakeland School District bus as it sat in the northbound klane of Highway 41. Five youths were taken to KMC for observation. The bus was totalled.
