From Staff And Wire Reports

Volunteers served 1,132 meals to needy people at Spokane’s third annual “Help from the Heart Dinner” last weekend.

Rosauers workers volunteered to prepare the meals, which were served Sunday at the Masonic Temple, Rosauers officials said in a statement.

In addition to free meals, Rosauers distributed 150 fruit baskets, 40 frozen meals, 500 gift bags, and tickets good for free transportation.

Rosauers and Goodwill Industries jointly collected and distributed nearly 700 new and used sweatshirts.
