Salt Lake Shoots Down Nic From Field, On Scoreboard

Marcel Johnson grabbed scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Salt Lake rallied to defeat North Idaho College 86-79 Friday night in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.

The Cardinals led 40-37 at halftime, but the team’s poor shooting caught up with the visitors in the second half.

NIC shot 32 of 84 from the field for 38 percent. The Cardinals were much better at the foul line, converting 9 of 11.

Salt Lake shot 29 of 58 from the fied for 50 percent and 25 of 35 from the free-throw line.

NIC guard Jamie Snook scored 15 of his 17 points in the first half. Eddie Turner had 20 points.

Salt Lake outrebounded NIC 44-36.
