Here is a look at action Wednesday in the Washington Legislature:

Governor:

No major action.

Senate:

Approved on a 44-3 vote and sent to the House SB5139, to authorize police to impound the vehicle of a person patronizing a prostitute if the vehicle was used in committing the crime.

Approved on a 47-0 vote and sent to the House SB5122, to increase the number of judges on the Benton County District Court from two to three.

Approved on a 47-0 vote and sent to the House SB5002, to make assault on a nurse a class C felony.

Voted unanimously to confirm the appointment of Donna Schram as a member of the Sentencing Guidelines Commission.

The Government Operations Committee approved and sent to the full Senate SB5303, to restrict state and municipal officers’ use of first-class airplane seats while traveling on public business.

House:

Approved on a unanimous vote and sent to the Senate HB1132, to exempt from the sales tax military equipment sold due to a base closure.

Approved on a unanimous vote and sent to the Senate HB1276, to limit to three the number of reporters who can attend an execution.

Approved on a unanimous vote and sent to the Senate HB1387, which would revoke licenses of massage practitioners convicted of prostitution.

The Law and Justice Committee approved and sent to the full House HB1523, to require abortion providers to notify parents or guardians of a minor at least 48 hours before performing an abortion on the youngster.
