Stereo Equipment Taken From Unlocked House

By The Spokesman-Review

Several burglaries were reported last week on the North Side, sheriff’s deputies said.

On Feb. 15, a burglar entered a home in the N16700 block of Dartford through an unlocked door on the front deck. A compact disc player, cassette tape player, equalizer, stereo cabinet and two speakers were stolen.

On the same day, someone tried to break into a house on the 1400 block of East Fourth in Deer Park, deputies said. The owner of the house came home and discovered the latch on his garage had been tampered with. The prowlers didn’t gain entry.

A refrigerator and stove were stolen from a house on the E1300 block of Bitteroot on Feb. 18. Burglars broke in through a sliding glass door at the rear of the house, which is under construction, deputies said.

On Feb. 19, a garage burglary was reported on the E3000 block of Houston. Taken was a pressure washer, a tool box filled with tools, a socket wrench and eight new interior door knobs.
