Opting for college instead of joining the Canadian National Team, Kim Exner of Vernon, British Columbia, has signed a letter of intent to attend Eastern Washington and play for the Eagles this fall.

Exner, a 6-foot-1 middle blocker at Fulton Secondary School, was asked to join Canada’s national team after attending a camp in Winnipeg in late December. She elected to wait until after attending EWU.

“Kim is an athlete with unlimited potential,” said Eastern coach Pamela Parks. “She has great smoothness on the court and an arm swing that is technically perfect and very powerful. She may be our finest recruit in the last decade.”
