Holiday Closures

Monday will be a holiday for city, county, state and federal employees, as well as for many other workers. Holiday closures and changes include:

Bus schedules: Spokane Transit Authority buses on Monday will run on the Sunday schedule, and there will be no loop routes. The customer service office will be closed Sunday but open from noon to 5 p.m. Monday.

Community and senior centers: Closed Monday.

Driver’s licensing: Offices will be closed through Monday.

Trash collection: Collections throughout the metropolitan area will be a day late. Transfer stations and the incinerator are closed Sunday and open Monday.

Libraries: All Spokane city and county public libraries will be closed Monday.

Liquor stores: State liquor stores will be closed Monday.

Post offices: They will be closed Monday except for the mail center near Spokane International Airport, which will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Mail delivery: There will be no residential or rural delivery on Monday, but there will be box service at the Riverside and Liberty Park post offices. Special delivery and Express Mail will be delivered as usual.

Spokane City Council: The weekly meeting takes place a day late, at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Retail stores, supermarkets: Most major stores will be open Sunday and Monday.
