Fire Destroys House On North Cedar

Fire destroyed a house at Mallon and Cedar early Sunday, city fire officials said.

The blaze broke out in the rental house at N800 Cedar just after 11 p.m. Saturday.

Eight city fire trucks responded and were on the scene until nearly 5:30 Sunday morning, but crews were unable to save the house, an official said.

No one was home at the time of the blaze, and no one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
