Mother, 3 Teens Shot To Death

Associated Press

A mother, her two sons and a teenage friend were shot to death in the basement of the family’s home in this small farming community.

No arrests were made as of Sunday, Jefferson County Sheriff Blair Olsen said. The bodies were found Friday with at least one bullet each in the head. Olsen identified the dead as Mary Myers, 44; her sons, Anthony Rice, 20, and Keith Rice, 16; and a friend, Christine Danielson, 17.

The bodies were found by Danielson’s father, Carl, after he went looking for her because she had not come home Thursday night. Christine Danielson was Keith Rice’s girlfriend.

Danielson’s mother, Glenna, said she believed her daughter was killed in a murder-suicide. She said police found a note from Mary Myers indicating she killed the teenagers. A note was found at the scene, Olsen said, but he declined to reveal its contents.
