Boeing Purchases Litton Precision Gear

The Boeing Co. has purchased a Chicago company that makes gears and transmissions for helicopters, Boeing said Tuesday.

Terms of the deal to buy Litton Precision Gear, a division of Litton Systems Inc., were not disclosed. The operation now is a Boeing subsidiary called Precision Gear Inc.
