Fund To Help Family Burned Out Of Home

From Staff And Wire Reports

A fund has been set up to help a family burned out of a West Central Spokane house on Sunday.

Roxanne Wankmueller, 9, died while trapped by the flames with a friend in the basement of the house at W1918 Shannon. Wankmueller attended Audubon Elementary.

Her friend, Kary Ann Anderson, 10, who also attends Audubon, was upgraded Tuesday from critical to serious condition at Deaconess Medical Center, officials said.

Donations can be made to the Wolfrom Family Fund at any U.S. Bank branch, said family friend Sharane Merial-Judith.
