Red Hot Grill To Join Food Court

Compiled From Staff And Wire Ser

Red Hot Grill, a fast-food gourmet restaurant, will open in mid-January in the food court on the second floor of Crescent Court.

The restaurant is a Californiabased chain that specializes in TexMex food and appeals to healthconscious diners, said Tom Barbieri, manager of Crescent Court for Goodale & Barbieri.

Red Hot Grill’s arrival brings the number of restaurants in the $2 million food court to six. Barbieri still is looking for two more restaurants to fill vacancies while crews finish minor construction.

“We’re still in the stage of talking to quite a few possibilities,” he said Tuesday.

Barbieri would like to fill the vacancies with ethnically “complimentary” restaurants and is considering a Greek eatery to provide a diverse spectrum for diners. The food court already includes Chinese, Japanese and seafood restaurants, along with McDonald’s.

Although Barbieri actively is searching for restaurateurs, he noted that no new tenants will be able to move into the food court until the skywalk system is finished next summer.
