Tandy Plans To Close 213 Specialty Stores

Tandy Corp. said Tuesday it will close 213 Video Concepts and McDuff stores as it continues a twoyear process to sharpen its focus on the Radio Shack, Computer City and Incredible Universe chains.

Between 1,000 and 1,400 workers will lose their jobs.

The company will take an $86 million charge against earnings for costs related to the closings.
