Idaho Player Misses Court; Warrant Issued

University of Idaho basketball player Jevon Green missed a preliminary hearing on Thursday and a bench warrant has been issued for his arrest, Latah County Prosecuting Attorney Steve Thompson said.

Green was charged last month with forgery of a financial transaction card and grand theft.

Green apparently was arrested in Seattle last week on a previous offense, but was mistakenly released from a King County jail, Thompson said.

Attempts are being made to contact Green’s lawyer.

“It’s a matter of him (Green) turning himself in or him being located,” Thompson said. “There could be some confusion since the jail released him; he might be thinking everything is OK.”

Green has been suspended indefinitely by UI coach Joe Cravens.
