Police Question Man In Killings Of Six

Compiled From Wire Services

Police questioned a man Sunday in the killings of six people in an apartment, and investigators focused on drugs, revenge and robbery as possible motives.

The victims, including two teen-age girls and their mother, were found stabbed or shot early Saturday in a condominium in a quiet, residential section of the borough of Queens.

The bodies were found after a seventh victim, a woman slashed in the throat and shot, escaped by jumping from a second-floor balcony. She couldn’t talk but later wrote a note in the hospital directing police to the apartment.

The victims were all of Colombian background, police said.
