Alaska Air Proposes Service To Vancouver
Alaska Airlines on Thursday asked the U.S. Transportation Department for approval to serve Vancouver, British Columbia.
In its application, the carrier proposes two daily departures from Vancouver: non-stop flights to Oakland, Calif., and San Diego, with the latter route continuing on to the resort city of Los Cabos, Mexico.
The route proposal would serve Canadians bound for leisure destinations and provide northbound passengers with new access to Vancouver, Canada’s largest West Coast city, said Harry Lehr, Alaska’s senior vice president for planning and finance.
