Man Gets Year For Posing Nude With Daughter

A man who posed nude with his naked 5-year-old daughter in photos taken by her mother was sentenced Friday to a year in jail.

Adrian Denava was convicted last month of child sexual abuse. His wife, Jeanette Denava, was acquitted.

The couple took the photos in August 1993. An employee of a photo developing shop notified authorities.

The Denavas said they took the photos in hopes of launching a modeling career for Denava, not for any illicit purpose.

Before sentencing, Denava told the judge he loved his daughter and never would hurt her.

The Denavas’ daughter is in foster care while she and her mother undergo counseling.
