Tanker Carrying Juice Catches Fire On I-90

From Staff And Wire Reports

The cab of a tanker filled with apple juice caught fire Friday night in an eastbound lane of Interstate 90 at Hamilton Street.

The driver wasn’t injured. Spokane firefighters were called to the fire at 9:20 p.m. and arrived to find the tanker’s cab in flames, a Fire Department dispatcher said.

Eastbound traffic was halted as firefighters doused the flames, according to the Washington State Patrol. Then one eastbound lane was opened.

By 10 p.m., all lanes were opened to traffic, the state patrol said. The cause of the fire wasn’t available late Friday.
