The state issued a call Friday for 15 volunteers to serve on a new Mt. Spokane State Park Advisory Committee.

Wanted are hikers, bikers, skiers, horse riders and other outdoors enthusiasts, along with Native Americans, educators, environmentalists and business people.

Mark letters to the attention of Mt. Spokane Advisory Committee Application.

The state created the advisory panel Oct. 21 to help seek funding for a master planning effort at Washington’s largest state park.

Committee members would also help prepare that master plan, monitor future management activities and advise the park ranger on citizen concerns.
