Kitchen Fire Damages Chattaroy House

A fire early Saturday caused about $10,000 worth of damage to a house in Chattaroy.

No one was injured.

The fire at N25002 Perry had mostly burned itself out by the time crews from District 4 arrived just after 7 a.m., said Chief Ed Lewis.

The blaze was confined to a closet in the kitchen, but other rooms in the house sustained smoke damage, Lewis said.

Investigators suspect arson, he said.
