Nc Out Of Cellar With Win

Jerry Holdren scored 14 points on Saturday, including a key putback after missing a late free throw, as North Central (2-5, 4-7) defeated host Gonzaga Prep 55-52 to escape the Greater Spokane League boys cellar.

G-Prep (3-4, 5-6) trailed by seven points heading into the fourth quarter, but cut NC’s lead to 50-48 on Brian Herrin’s 3-pointer. NC made 3 of 5 free throws in the late stages, then went up 55-50 on Holdren’s offensive rebound and basket.
