Parking Permits Are Required At Recreation Sites

When parking at designated winter recreation sites, such as Washington’s Mount Spokane State Park or Idaho’s Fourth of July Pass Winter Recreation Area, a Sno-Park permit is required.

The permits may be purchased at most snowshoe and ski sales/rental outlets.

Washington, Idaho and Oregon have reciprocity agreements, meaning that each state recognizes the other states’ permits. However, the permit must be from the same state as the vehicle, meaning, for example, that a Washington licensed vehicle must display a Washington Sno-Park permit.

A season permit is $20 for a Washington Sno-Park permit, $15 for Idaho’s Park ‘N Ski permit and $9.50 for an Oregon Sno-Park permit. Single-day and multiple-day passes may be purchased.
