Ewu Student May Have Tb

A suspected case of tuberculosis in a student at Eastern Washington University is drawing attention from county health officials.

People who may have been exposed to the bacterial disease are being contacted for testing, according to a prepared statement from Dr. John Beare, county health officer.

The disease normally is spread by coughing or sneezing close to other people in enclosed spaces over prolonged periods.
