Two People Hospitalized After 4-Car Accident

From Staff And Wire Reports

Two people ended up in the hospital after a four-car accident just east of Airway Heights Saturday afternoon.

Roberto P. Aguirre, 27, of S522 Hayford in Spokane, was driving south on Hayford about 3 p.m. when he attempted to turn left onto McFarland.

His Buick was hit in the rear by a Toyota pickup driven by Judie L. Laster, 48, of Airway Heights, the Washington State Patrol reported.

A Dodge driven by Christopher J. Bellinger, 18, of Medical Lake, slammed into Laster’s pickup, and a Mazda driven by Craig W. Montgomery, 49, of W2525 Holyoke in Spokane, hit Bellinger’s car, the WSP said.

Montgomery was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center with head, neck and internal injuries, the WSP said. He was listed in satisfactory condition.

Bellinger was taken to Deaconess Medical Center, where he was treated for cuts on his face and released.

Laster suffered a bump on the head and was treated at the scene. Aguirre was not injured, and drove his car from the scene.

The three other cars were towed. The cars and pickup sustained a total of $10,500 worth of damage, the WSP said.

Only Montgomery was not wearing a seat belt.
