Miller Blocks 18 Shots, Snaps Women’s Record

Eastern Mennonite freshman Laurie Miller blocked 18 shots - a collegiate record for women - in the Flames’ 63-56 victory over Emory & Henry on Sunday.

The 6-foot Miller broke the Division III record in the first half with 13 blocked shots, snapping the old mark of 12 set by Liza Janssen of Wellesley College in 1992.

The all-division record of 15 was set in 1992, by Amy Lundquist of Loyola-Marymount.
