Dog May Lead Police To Body

Police are looking to a German shepherd for clues to a killing, after the dog twice dragged home human legs believed to be from the same body.

“There is no doubt we are dealing with a homicide,” Lt. Chester Iwan of the Lake County sheriff’s police said Tuesday.

The dog, named Friendly, lugged home part of a left leg Jan. 16 and a right leg on Saturday. Both were cut off mid-thigh, in a manner unlike that used in medical schools, police said.

“Basically, we’re monitoring the dog now,” Iwan said.
