The Law and Justice Committee approved and sent to the full House Initiative 159, which would increase penalties for persons convicted of committing crimes when armed with a firearm.

The Governmental Operations Committee approved and sent to the full House HB1017, to transfer emergency management functions from the Department of Community Development to the Military Department.

The Education Committee approved and sent to the full House HB1027, to redirect school funds from administration to the classroom.
