Legislative Action

Here is a look at action Wednesday in the Washington Legislature:

GOVERNOR:

No major action.

SENATE:

Approved and sent to the House SB5038, which would delay adoption of a basic medical benefits package that all insurers would have to offer under the state’s health care law.

Bill introduced:

SB5500, to change the state’s prime methods of judicial execution from hanging to lethal injection.

HOUSE:

Approved and sent to the Senate HJM4000, asking Congress to propose a constitutional amendment banning desecration of the flag.

The Law and Justice Committee approved and sent to the full House Initiative 164, which would require government to pay for private property that is devalued through regulation.
