Making Fido Feel Welcome

A growing number of hotels are putting out the welcome mat for pets, according to Travel Weekly.

The newsletter says the hotels are offering amenities like special pet menus and toys, personalized biscuits and dog-walking services.

Fran Golden, a Travel Weekly editor who has traveled with her basset hound, said more people are traveling with their animals.

“And if guests pay several hundred dollars per night for a hotel stay, they should be able to bring their pets,” she said.
