Csi Runs Over Nic In Second Half

The College of Southern Idaho used a 14-0 run with 13 minutes remaining in the second half and went on to defeat North Idaho College Saturday night, 89-81.

Ed Gray and Shawn Bankhead, who keyed the CSI run, teamed to score 50 points to lead the Eagles.

The Cardinals jumped out to a 12-6 lead early and saw the game seesaw back and forth for much of the first half before taking a 45-42 lead into halftime.

But the second-half run forced the Cardinals to foul to get back into the game, allowing the Eagles to bury the Cardinals on 29-for-42 foul shooting for the game.

Eddie Turner hit 10 of 13 shots, including 3 of 4 from beyond the 3-point line, to lead NIC with 24 points and six rebounds. The Cardinals hit 10 of 19 3-point attempts.

Steve Helm and Tijuan Dial added 13 and 12 points, respectively. Helm also handed out seven assists.
