Government Almanac For The Week Of January 29

The council plans to discuss a petition designed to remove the traffic barrier at 29th Avenue and Pittsburg Street. Council members also will consider whether to ask a state panel to change the boundaries of a proposed Spokane Valley city.

Spokane County Commission Tuesday, 5:30 p.m. Public Works Building Cable Channel 5

Commissioners will take public testimony on Gleneden Eighth Addition, a proposal for 23 homes and four duplexes at U.S. 395 and Gleneden Drive.

Spokane Park Board Tuesday, 7 p.m. special meeting, rooms 1A and 2A; Spokane Public Library, downtown branch, W906 Main

The Park Board plans to take public comment on a proposed contract that leases the Riverfront Park Pavilion to the Seattle-based Pacific Science Center.
