Compiled From Wire Services

Timothy Scott, who played Pea-Eye Parker in the Emmy-winning TV miniseries “Lonesome Dove,” died of lung cancer June 14. He was 57.

Scott appeared in nearly two dozen films, including 1991’s “Fried Green Tomatoes,” 1969’s “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” and 1979’s “The Electric Horseman.”

While his character parts in film and television ranged from a Nazi general to a Cajun chef, he also played many Western roles and last year was inducted into the Cowboy Hall of Fame.
