Paul Grief’s squeeze bunt scored the tying and winning runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and Austin McDonald was 3 for 4 Friday as Washington Trust beat Key Bank 7-6 in American Legion baseball.

In other games, Marcus Muzatko provided a threerun double and Jeff Rinck struck out seven as M&L Construction beat Scott’s 12-4 at Jackson Field; Andy Asbjornsen threw a complete-game four-hitter with 13 strikeouts and K.C. Becker was 4 for 5 with two RBIs as Pullman beat Hillyard 14-3 at Jackson; Garrett Wideman was 3 for 4 with a three-run homer as Chapter Eleven/Longhorn BBQ beat Olympic 16-7; and SAS beat Maxwell House 6-2 as Eric Eiganhius tossed a complete-game four-hitter with 11 strikeouts.

At Hangman Valley, Cheney’s Todd Pence closed with a 73 to finish at 142 and win the USGA Public Links qualifier and reach the national championship at Stowe Acres Country Club in Stowe, Mass., July 17-22.
