Fans Line Up To Get Gingrich’s Autograph

Associated Press

Some 1,500 admirers waited in a line that snaked around a bookstore Saturday to get Newt Gingrich’s autograph in his new book, “To Renew America,” on the first day of his book tour.

In less than two hours, the Bookstar store sold about 850 copies of the House speaker’s book, which went on sale Friday. The book was selling for $16.80, 30 percent off the cover price of $24.

Later, at Oxford Books in Atlanta, Gingrich signed more than 1,000 books for admirers.
