New Anti-Depressants Are A Real Royal Wonder

Andrew Morton is still making his buck at the expense of Princess Diana.

The author of “Diana: Her New Life” has added a new chapter to the biography, and Buckingham Palace is not happy.

Morton claims that Diana uses Prozac to treat her bulimia, sips vodka before appearing publicly, relieves her boredom by shopping and hits the sack by 8 p.m.

The palace denies all, claiming the new chapter is simply “more secondhand tittle-tattle. What is more, it is full of inaccuracies.”

Diana herself was mum. But she showed up at a benefit dinner in London on Wednesday looking tan and, according to writer Dominick Dunne, “beautiful, charming and very curious about the O.J. Simpson trial.”

Singer Carly Simon on her Martha Vineyard’s house-cum-hideaway (in InStyle magazine): “It’s my own sweet money pit.”

Wasn’t she the ‘Angel’ that Bosley had a thing for?

Cheryl Ladd turns 43 today.

When we call the English proper, are we being ironic?

Today’s Hugh Grant quote comes from Stuart Higgins, editor of the London Sun. “The O.J. Simpson trial doesn’t mean a lot here,” Higgins said. “What we’re looking forward to is the B.J. Grant trial.”

He said this, presumably, before he was arrested

Here’s today’s Hugh Grant quote, provided by Hugh Grant: “I don’t go anywhere,” the British actor told Vogue magazine. “I have no social life anymore. I can’t remember the last time I went out and had fun…. I’ve got no time, and if I go out, it’s, ‘Hugh has been a naughty boy.”’

For some listeners, the pain is in the listening

“I love rap,” pop singer/composer/musician Stevie Wonder told Rolling Stone magazine. “I learn from rap. I’m not saying I like the way some rappers address women, but I believe that rappers are the ‘griots,’ the African storytellers in the village. They’re verbal historians telling tales that are clear and real and need to be heard. Listen hard and you’ll hear the pain. Without feeling that pain yourself, you’ll never understand.”

Like we said, for some the pain is in the listening

So how would you describe the music of David Hasselhoff? “Bee-boppy and a bit retro, like the Village People,” the “Baywatch”-meister says. “I guess you could call it ‘adult contemporary.”’

It’s just a ring, not a wedding bell ringing

Brooke Shields and Andre Agassi are wearing matching rings. But, he says, they don’t mean a wedding date has been set. “They are just rings that we got a while back, after we had been together about a year or so,” Agassi said. “There are two bands that are brought together with two hearts and a little diamond, and every year we add a diamond and two hearts, and the bond gets stronger as the years go on.”
