Sta Fares A Nickel For Fourth Of July

Fares on all Spokane Transit buses and paratransit vans will be five cents on Tuesday, July 4, Spokane Transit Authority officials announced.

Nickel Day is designed to help relieve traffic congestion due to the Neighbor Day activities in Riverfront Park, which concludes with a fireworks show Tuesday night.

Buses will run on a Sunday schedule, hourly from 8:45 a.m. to 10:50 p.m., just after the fireworks at the park end.

Riders are urged to call STA information at 325-RIDE for route and schedule information. Not all routes will operate on Tuesday.
