Compiled From Wire Services

Owner Sheikh Mohammed and trainer Andre Fabre completed a rare double when 5-1 shot Winged Love won the $960,000 Irish Derby at The Curragh in Kildare, Ireland.

Previously, Mohammed and Fabre won with Carnegie in France’s Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud.

French Derby winner Celtic Swing, the 5-4 favorite, was a major disappointment, finishing eighth.

Hoolie won his fourth straight race, rallying to beat Reality Road by 1 1/4 lengths in the 78th running of the $150,000 Dwyer Stakes for 3-year-olds at Belmont Park in New York.
