Help Sought In Man’s Death

From Staff And Wire Reports

Local law enforcement officials want help solving the mystery surrounding a migrant worker’s death last spring.

Sergio Calvario, 33, a tree planter for Progressive Forestry, died from a head injury on April 23 at Kootenai Medical Center.

On April 22, Calvario was drinking at Eduardo’s Restaurant. He left the restaurant very intoxicated with a Hispanic man and Caucasian woman, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department.

Calvario was soon found lying unconscious by a customer in the parking lot. He was taken to KMC, where he was treated and released.

The next day, family members who were staying with Calvario at a downtown motel, called an ambulance. He later died at the hospital.

Sgt. Jerry Wiedenhoff is looking for people who may know the identity of the couple Calvario was with on April 22, or anyone who may have seen Calvario fall or otherwise injure himself. Those with information can call 208-664-1511.
