A man robbed a bank Monday afternoon in north Spokane, police said.
A robber told a teller at U.S. Bank, 3909 N. Lincoln, that he had a weapon, said Dick Cottam, Spokane Police Department spokesman. But he never displayed a weapon, Cottam said.
The robber demanded money and fled the bank once he had been given some. Authorities wouldn’t say how much money was taken.
The robber is described as an unshaven 30- to 35-year-old white man, about 6 feet tall, with short brown hair. He was wearing a red and black checkered shirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap and was carrying a white canvas bag.
The FBI is investigating the robbery.
