Man Charged With Attempted Murder

From Staff And Wire Reports

A man accused of firing a gun at his son was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder Wednesday.

Christopher Tucker, 48, of Coeur d’Alene was arrested Tuesday for allegedly firing several shots at his 14-year-old son Clay J. Tucker.

The incident occurred when Stacey Dreher, 34, was driving in Dalton Gardens with Clay Tucker as her passenger, according to Kootenai County Sheriff’s officials.

The two had been following a truck that had driven past Dreher’s house several times. They thought it might be Christopher Tucker and were trying to get the license plate, according to the sheriff’s report.

Christopher Tucker is divorced from Clay Tucker’s mother, Marie. Christopher Tucker has been arrested numerous times since January on charges of violating the woman’s civil protection order against him and domestic battery.

Clay Tucker told sheriff’s deputies that a woman stepped out of the driver’s side of the truck and started yelling. The teenager then watched his father step out of the pickup, raise a gun and fire about eight shots at him.

No one was hurt. Christopher Tucker was later arrested.

He was charged Wednesday with attempted murder and one count of possession of methamphetamine and shooting into an occupied car.

The woman allegedly driving the pickup, Dianna M. Isbell, 27, of Post Falls, was charged with two counts of being an accessory to a felony and one count of drug possession.

The two are being held in the Kootenai County Jail on $250,000 bail.
