New Faces:

David M. Grant has joined Deglow and Grant Law Firm. Grant was most recently with the firm of Crary & Clark P.S. He had a private law practice from 1980 to 1987 and prior to 1980 was associated with the law firm of Richter, Wimberley & Ericson. Grant is the adjunct insurance law professor at Gonzaga’s School of Law. His practice is limited to insurance-related matters.

Crosby Sportswear and Factory Outlet has added the following people to its management team:

Steven Williamson is the new marketing director. Williamson has extensive experience building sales of screenprinted garments, and 20 years of successful marketing experience. Patrick Willis has been named production manager. Willis has 14 years of screenprinting management experience and the expertise to ensure quality products and service.

Melanie Moores has joined Hagadone Hospitality Co. as associate marketing director. Moores will be responsible for implementing Hagadone Hospitality’s public relations and marketing communications. A Washington State University graduate, Moores previously was the marketing coordinator for SDL Corp., a commercial construction management/ general contracting firm in Bellevue, Wash.

Robb Emehiser has joined Northern State Bank as manager of its new branch in the Super 1 Foods Store on Hwy. 95, Coeur d’Alene. Emehiser has seven years of banking experience and will manage a team of four employees.

Marcia Panattoni has been appointed manager of managed care network development for Lewistonbased Medical Service Bureau of IdahoBlue Shield. Panattoni, a graduate of Pepperdine University and Washington State University, has more than nine years of health care management experience. She previously was the manager of Children’s Special Health Programs for the state of Idaho and vice president of operations for Quality Medical Management Inc.

Linda Mullin has joined K58DQ, Coeur d’Alene, as co-anchor of its evening news program. Mullin has an extensive media background and was previously state president of a non-profit corporation in California.

Gale Sullenberger has been named dean of Washington State University’s College of Business and Economics. Sullenberger has headed Bradley University’s Foster College of Business Administration since 1986. He received a doctor of engineering degree from the University of Oklahoma and taught at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, the U.S. Army Management School and the University of Oklahoma and held teaching and leadership positions at the University of Arkansas.

Klundt & Hosmer Design Associates has hired Stacy Salsbury as an office manager/production coordinator. A graduate of Eastern Washington University, Salsbury previously worked for Silverado Broadcasting and Quinn Lipe Advertising as office manager/ media buyer.

Jim Palmer has joined CENTURY 21 Peoples Choice in Deer Park as an associate. He has completed a five-day training program for new associated.

Moving Up:

William Hogeboom has been named vice president of Wendin Inc., a leading manufacturer of reeds for double reed musical instruments. Hogeboom, a graduate of Eastern Washington University, has been with Wendin for six years, first as production manager, and later as general manager.

Spokane-based Hospitality Associates Inc. has named Gerene Drapeau regional manager for Central and Western Washington. Drapeau, who has been with the company since 1988, most recently was general manager of the Comfort Inn Broadway in Spokane. Her territory includes the Quality Inn City Center in Seattle; the Best Western Heritage Inn in Wenatchee; the Comfort Inn in Walla Walla; the Best Western Heritage Inn in Ritzville; and the new Holiday Inn Express in Kennewick, opening this summer.

Gina Lasswell has been appointed manager of provider and professional relations for Medical Service Bureau of Idaho-Blue Shield. She joined MSB-Blue Shield in 1983 and most recently was a provider relations representative and a customer service supervisor. She replaces Helen Drexler, who was promoted to director of provider and professional relations.

Mike Covey has been named general manager of Rocky Mountain Timberlands. Covey, who has been with Plum Creek for 12 years, will oversee operations on Plum Creek Timber Co.’s 1.7 million acres of timberlands in Western Montana, Idaho, and Eastern Washington.

Starting Up:

RE/MAX River City has opened in Post Falls. The office, located at 700 E. Seltice, is owned by Broker Art Bale and managed by Mike Bale.

Moving on:

William R. Goetz, Kootenai Electric’s chief financial officer, has retired after 25 years at the cooperative. Goetz came to KEC in 1970 as a work order clerk. He later served as office manager and controller before being appointed CFO.

Leroy Foster, general manager of Cooperative Supply Inc. in Coeur d’Alene, has retired after 44 years with Cenex. Foster began his co-op career in Alexandria, S.D., and held posts in St. Maries, Idaho, and Ronan, Mont., before moving to Coeur d’Alene. He was inducted into the Idaho Co-op Hall of Fame in the fall of 1988.

Transactions:

The Port of Garfield County in Pomeroy, Wash., has been awarded a community Rural Business Enterprise Grant of $50,000. The funds will be used to renovate an existing industrial building to keep a light manufacturing business from leaving the rural area.

Ginno Construction Inc. of Post Falls has been awarded the contract for the addition and alteration of the Post Falls Armory and Organizational Maintenance Shop in Post Falls. The $1.6 million project, owned by the State of Idaho Military Division, is scheduled for a fall completion.

Elected:

James Kalamon has been named to another term as chair of the board of directors of the Inland Automobile Association. Diane Ressler of the Boeing Co., and Richard Rubens of Metallic Arts Inc., were chosen to continue to serve as vice-chairs. Retired banker James Calderhead will continue as treasurer. Stanley Miller was named to a second year as president.

Paul Buller, a professor of management in the Gonzaga University School of Business Administration, was elected to the office of president of the Western Academy of Management.

Resource Computing Inc. staff have earned the following credentials:

Jeff Uhlenkott, senior systems engineer, has been designated a Certified NewWare Engineer (CNE) by Novell Inc.

Chris Whalen, manager of the computer services department, has been designated a Certified NetWare Administrator (CNA) by Novell.

James L. Haner, vice president of sales and marketing, has been designated a Certified Network Hardware Installer (CNHI) by LANart Corp.

Kudos:

The Libby, Mont., Super 8 Motel was awarded a Certificate of Excellence for the first quarter of 1995. The award is given by Super 8 Motels Inc. to those properties which greatly exceed company standards of cleanliness, service and quality. The Libby motel has earned the award for four consecutive quarters.

The Production Group Inc. audio design company has received 21 Inland Northwest Addy Awards. The awards recognize outstanding achievement in creative advertising and production.
