A fifth teenager has been arrested in the rape of an 11-year-old girl and two more youths were still being sought in the crime, police said Monday.
Police Chief Andrew Anderson said that the two boys being sought, ages 13 and 14, apparently fled Hermiston for Idaho.
Police arrested four boys, ages 13, 14, 15 and 16, on charges of kidnapping and rape. A fifth boy, 14, turned himself in over the weekend.
Police said the boys are all part of a group identifying themselves as members of the Angelitos Sur 13, or “Little Angels of 13th Street.”
Officers said as many as 12 boys from the gang were involved in leading the girl from a Hermiston park to a nearby apartment.
