Downwinders Invited To Sessions

Hanford downwinders in North Idaho can learn more about nuclear radiation and its effects through workshops by the Hanford Health Information Network.

The group is sponsoring workshops in Coeur d’Alene and Kellogg next week.

The Coeur d’Alene meeting will be at 6 p.m., July 17, at the Harbor Center, Suite 160, 1000 W. Hubbard.

In Kellogg, the meeting will start at 6 p.m., July 19, at the Panhandle Health District Office, 114 Riverside.

The group hopes to collect information this summer from downwinders in an effort to direct future health studies and gain a better understanding of the possible health effects of the Hanford releases.
