Sabres Deny Report

Representatives of the Buffalo Sabres said no decision has been made on a new coach despite a published report saying Hartford assistant coach Ted Nolan has been given the job.

Citing unidentified sources, the Buffalo News reported that Nolan met with Sabres officials Friday morning and agreed to a contract. General manager John Muckler declined to discuss the situation, and a news conference has not been scheduled.
