Death Toll Hits 59 In Flood In Turkey
The death toll in a flash flood that swept through Senirkent, a southern town, rose to 59 on Monday when rescue workers recovered more bodies, state television said.
Eleven bodies remained trapped, it said.
Heavy rain on Thursday caused a landslide in Senirkent, 240 miles southwest of the capital of Ankara, burying houses in up to 6 feet of mud and rocks.
