Officials Identify Body In Hamper

A woman found dead in Red Lake near Tum Tum on June 28 has been identified as a Spokane resident.

Koralee Lynn Dixon, 22, was identified through dental and fingerprint records, the Stevens County Sheriff’s Department said.

Dixon’s death is being investigated as a murder.

Swimmers found her nude body inside a wicker clothes hamper. She had been suffocated by an object that was stuffed in her mouth, an autopsy revealed.

The sheriff’s department won’t say what that object was. Her clothing has not been found.
