Cda Graduates Earn Scholarships, Awards

Several students in the 1995 class of Coeur d’Alene High School earned scholarships and awards before graduation last month. The students and their awards are:

Cindy Allen, valedictorian, Presidential Academic Achievement Award, U.S. Air Force Top Science Student, Society of Women Engineers’ Certificate of Merit, Whitman College Certificate of Honors at Entrance.

Cinnimon Babcock, Presidential Academic Achievement Award, CHS Math Department Scholastic Award.

Dee Barnes, North Idaho College Leadership Scholarship.

Melissa Buckner, Presidential Academic Achievement Award, North Idaho College Eva Ogg Scholarship, Coeur d’Alene Asphalt Scholarship, Marjory C. Kinney Scholarship.

Matt Butkovich, CHS Art Department Scholastic Award.

Dean Caloca, Brigham Young University Dance Scholarship, CHS Vocal Department Scholastic Award.

Angela Capello, Louisiana Pacific’s first alternate.

Lisa Christensen, Jaime Harshman, Barbara Kimbrell, Nancy Lowe, Elisha Lutz, Sarah McKenna, Michelle Rakes, Brent Stutz and Autumn Wade all received Presidential Academic Achievement Awards.

Angela Christiansen, Presidential Academic Achievement Award, Boise State University’s Distinguished Achievement Award, University of Idaho’s Presidential Scholarship.

Lisa Dahlberg, John Friesz Scholarship, CHS Physical Education Department Scholastic Award, University of Idaho Alumni Association Scholarship.

Jessica Dempster, Coeur d’Alene Junior Miss; Veterans of Foreign Wars Voice of Democracy, Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce Scholarship, CHS Debate Department Scholastic Award.

Mike Drake, Valedictorian, Carnegie Mellon University Scholarship, U.S. Military Academy Offer of Admission, Presidential Academic Achievement Award, Principal’s Leadership Award.

Tracey Eagan, Emerald Distributors Scholarship.

Janet Renee Ellisor, Presidential Academic Achievement Award, Northwestern College - STEP Scholarship and Presidential, Louisiana Pacific Scholarship.
