4 WSU Professors Win National Award

Faculty members in Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine have won a national teaching award.

WSU professors Guy Palmer, Stephen Hines, Inge Eriks and Diana Stone received the $25,000 award at the American Veterinary Medical Association’s annual meeting earlier this month in Pittsburgh.

The team won with its proposal, “The Diagnostic Challenges,” addressing the need to teach veterinary students skills in communications, information and business management.

The award, provided by the Ag Vet Division of Merck & Co. Inc. of Rahway, N.J., will fund an endowment at WSU to encourage more veterinary teaching innovations.
