Overweight Society Demands More Space

Members of the Overweight Society demonstrated in the capital Wednesday, demanding bigger airplane lavatories, more large-size clothes and fatter fashion models.

Some held posters saying “It is trendy to be chubby.”

“We want to change people’s attitudes and ideals of beauty. I can’t go into a normal store and buy decent clothes,” said 31-year-old Liselott Frostrom, 253 pounds.

According to the group, 250,000 of Sweden’s nearly 9 million people are obese, carrying more than 88 pounds over the normal weight for their height.
