Secret Witness Seeks Man Wanted For Theft, Forgery

From Staff And Wire Reports

The Secret Witness program wants help identifying a phony. The man pictured here is using a false name and other identification stolen from a Portland resident.

He is wanted for the theft of two cars and forgery. The identification he stole belongs to William Wantz, a 30-year-old Portland businessman.

Wantz lost his wallet in Oregon and the man pictured here has obtained a Washington driver’s license and various credit cards under Wantz’s name. He may be driving a stolen silver Dodge pickup or late-model conversion van.

Residents who know the true name of the man pictured are asked to call Secret Witness at 327-5111. Callers don’t have to give their names to be eligible for a cash reward.

Secret Witness is a civilian organization not affiliated with law enforcement. Callers may use code names or numbers to identify themselves.
